Find Bass Guitars for Sale

When researching bass guitars for sale there are a few things any potential future musicians will want to know. You will want to know if you want a 4 or 5 string bass. In addition to this you may even want to consider a fretless or acoustic bass guitar.

There are several varieties of bass guitars as they come in all shapes and sizes. Some big considerations to make is whether or not to get a 4, 5, or 6 string bass. It may seem like a 5 string is more than a novice might want to handle, but this is not the case. If you only plan on buying one bass for a long time you may want to consider the appeal of the 5 string over the 4. Of course it pretty much just boils down to a matter of preference. 6 string basses are more of a niche and picking one up for a beginner would be like buying a baritone guitar or a 12 string guitar for a novice guitar player.

Fret-less basses have a huge appeal, as without frets they have a smoother sound. But, they have a steep learning curve and can be a difficult thing to master, especially for a beginner. These are not entirely out of the question for a student of the bass, just keep in mind that it will require a little bit more work to master.

If you’re bigger into playing around a campfire you may want to consider an acoustic. Watching unplugged performances often times shows that bassists are playing electric guitars even though the lead and rhythm player are playing acoustics. Acoustic basses are a little bit of a niche as well. They are harder to come by in some cases and definitely have their own distinct sound. So make sure to do you research and find out what you need in an instrument before jumping into things.
